The challenge
Matériel‑de‑pro.com needed to modernize its site and make the user experience more pleasant to support growth. That is why DBM was asked to redesign the site. We rolled up our sleeves, pulled out all our tools, and undertook the “renovation” of the new Matériel‑de‑pro.com. The goals were:
- Migrating from Magento 1 to Magento 2
- Optimizing the user journey
- Enabling ERP connectivity
- Integrating with marketplaces
- Developing the site with a mobile‑first approach
Core elements of the solution
The redesign was done using Magento 2, a powerful CMS well suited for e‑commerce sites with large catalogs.
We did a deep rework of the site’s structure to simplify navigation and make adding items to cart faster (by adding cross filters, calls to action, etc.). Product pages were optimized to provide the most information to visitors.
To allow our client to efficiently manage orders, stock, suppliers, and deliveries, we connected the ERP and the various marketplaces where they are present to the Magento back office. This means they can manage the entire business from within Magento.
The whole team worked on this project to deliver the most enjoyable and satisfying user experience possible, with a site fully designed for mobile browsing.
