Golden Brioche: a story of passion, know-how and audacity

Golden Brioche is more than just a food chain. It is a story that is written every day in hundreds of restaurants around the world: a promise of gourmetism accessible, authentic, carried by artisanal know-how anchored in the DNA of the brand.
With a strong national presence and loyal clientele, Golden Brioche needed a site to match this reputation. A site that not only informs, but makes hunger from the first page.

The challenge: a gourmet, useful and unifying showcase

The mission entrusted to DBM: the complete redesign of the site under Drupal, with a clear objective — to offer a fluid, intuitive and gourmet digital experience that enhances the brand’s products and know-how.
A second challenge, just as concrete: integrate an interactive map listing all the Brioche Doré restaurants in France, so that every visitor, wherever he is, can know in a few seconds where to go to taste his favourite pastries.
Third and not least, making the site a real tool for network development. Brioche Dorée wanted to rely on its redesign to attract new franchisees, making them want to join the adventure. A dedicated section has been designed to enhance the franchise model, present the opportunities for implementation and accompany the candidates in their first steps, transforming the showcase site into a real lever of growth for the brand.
This project asked a question that few providers take the time to formulate: how to make a site much more than a showcase? How to translate greed into a digital experience, guide every visitor to the nearest restaurant, and convince tomorrow’s entrepreneurs to join the Golden Brioche network? So many challenges that DBM has met with one ambition: let each user go again with the water in the mouth and the desire to go further.

Our approach: UX and tailor-made framing

A phase of UX framing to leave on the right basesBefore writing any line of code or drawing the first model, DBM conducted a thorough UX framing phase. The objective: to understand who the users of the site are, what they are looking for, what hinders them, and how to naturally guide them towards action.
This upstream work is what turns a beautiful site into an efficient site. This is the difference between an interface you find pretty and an interface you understand immediately.

A custom site designed to evolve with the brandThe choice of Drupal for this project is not insignificant. It is the platform that offers the most flexibility for projects of this scope: complex content management, robust performance, and time-changing capacity. The site was designed from the beginning to adapt to Brioche Doré’s future ambitions without having to rebuild everything with each evolution.

Our approach: optimized user paths and a true interface to the brand’s DNA

A true interface to Golden Brioche DNAEach design choice (colours, typography, product staging, general atmosphere) has been designed to be true to what Golden Brioche represents: warmth, home making, simple and generous pleasure. The interface does not look like a fast food site. She looks like Golden Brioche.

Optimized user paths for each type of visitorWhether it seeks to discover the products, find the nearest restaurant or create its loyalty account, each visitor immediately finds what he needs. Navigation was designed to be intuitive at the first visit, without time for adaptation, without friction.

The gourmet interactive map: find your restaurant in one clickThis is one of the project’s flagship features. An interactive map integrating all Brioche Dorée restaurants in France: geolocalised, fast and visually consistent with the world of the brand. In a few seconds, any visitor knows where to go to satisfy a desire for greed, no matter where he is.

The result: a site that gives hunger

The delivered site fulfills its promise on all levels.

On the product side, each reference is presented with the care that is given to a beautiful pastry: appetizing visuals, descriptions that make you want, smooth journey to discover the whole range. The user does not consult a product sheet, it saliva in front of a window.

As for loyalty, visitors can create their loyalty account directly from the site, strengthening the link between the digital experience and the restaurant experience.

In terms of location, the interactive map allows you to find the nearest restaurant in seconds and turns a simple intention into a concrete visit.

Side development, a section dedicated to potential franchisees completes the device: the site becomes a fully-fledged recruitment tool, able to convince entrepreneurs to join one of the most emblematic fast food brands in France.
All on a robust, efficient and ready to accompany Golden Brioche in its next digital evolutions.

What this project has confirmed to us

A food restoration or distribution site is not built as a classic showcase site.

The stake is not just to present, it is to make it feel. Create an emotional connection between the visitor and the brand, from the first seconds.
