Introducing CEFM

“Training plays a vital role in the success of every company.”

The Michelin Exchange and Training Center (CEFM) offers over 70 comprehensive training courses in all sectors of activity: technical, commercial, management, financial management, and web services.

Organized via e-learning or at the training center, all courses are led by expert and professionally qualified trainers in their field. The center also develops personalized offers based on needs and requests.

The DBM team is proud to collaborate with Michelin, the world leader in the manufacturing and marketing of tires for all types of vehicles.

The challenge

The DBM team was asked to meet the following objectives:

  • Develop the site using Symfony
  • Provide a tailor-made business tool
  • Facilitate the management and organization of training with an ergonomic back-office
  • Optimize the user experience with new features
  • Make the site content accessible to the public and in different countries

We are delighted to have put our skills to work for the world leader in tires and to have been able to make the daily lives of CEFM trainers easier.

The Strong Axes of the Solution

After defining the objectives, we proceeded with the creation of the B2B site using Symfony and developed a tailor-made solution that meets all of CEFM’s business needs. Accessible from all over the world, this fluid and interactive interface presents the various training courses and allows sessions to be managed and organized.

The site’s back-office and all associated functionalities were central to the project, with the aim of providing a real management tool for the CEFM team. Thus, when a learner registers for the training of their choice from their client area, the trainer can consult the list of participants registered for a session. Thanks to the functionalities available in the site’s back-office, the latter has total control over the session flow: indicating presence status, sending a survey, adding a participant, automatically generating documents, before, during, and after training…

Furthermore, the trainer has a dashboard with all the useful statistics to analyze session performance.

The DBM team worked to offer an optimal navigation experience between sessions and training courses. We integrated a search engine and a calendar that lists available training courses, filterable by segment, training type, language, and location.
