Introducing Clermont Foot 63
The club that keeps climbing, climbing
At DBM, we love all forms of football and have been long-time supporters of Clermont Foot 63. We were there during the meritorious Ligue 2 years when the team showed its regularity and pugnacity. We were there when Pascal Gastien arrived as coach in 2019. We were still there for the magnificent 2019-2020 season, unfortunately interrupted before the end. So, when the club returns “Bigger, Stronger” for the 2020 restart and earns promotion to Ligue 1 Uber Eats, we don’t hide our enthusiasm.
A promotion to Ligue 1 changes quite a few things. But what we particularly like about Clermont Foot is its desire to maintain its authenticity, its wish to continue its development while staying close to its supporters. As long as we can, at DBM, we will continue to encourage the Clermont-Ferrand football club and support it so that its digital presence reflects its character and its evolution.

The challenge
In full ascent, Clermont Foot 63 entrusted us with the creation of a site worthy of a Ligue 1 club:
- Technical switch to replace obsolete modules with recent and sustainable technologies
- Graphic design to feature the club’s colors in a modern style
- Complete ergonomic redesign to enhance the supporters’ user experience

The Strong Axes of the Solution
In order to design the site’s user experience, it was simple for us to put ourselves in the shoes of a Clermont Foot supporter: we have plenty in our ranks at DBM. What was more delicate was working on highly temporalized journeys, because as the saying goes: “after the match is before the match.” Our UX experts were able to find the right structure to combine the site’s many functions, particularly ticketing, the shop, and access to club news: match schedule, game results, and various multimedia content.
Our technical team, after a precise analysis of these needs, chose to migrate the old Drupal site to a platform based on the WordPress CMS. The integration of functionalities is possible thanks to the numerous available modules, including WooCommerce for online sales. We also carried out specific developments for receiving and displaying match statistics via the STATS API.
