Introducing Columbus Café & Co
An authentic French coffee shop
We won’t go over the whole story, but we still want to explain why we love working with our clients. And most of the time, it’s because we share a vision, values, and commitments. Columbus Café is a French pride (cocorico) of an originally Anglo-Saxon model that has managed to establish itself in France and expand abroad. Believe it or not, today there are 200 coffee shops in France, Belgium, Canada, Portugal… In short, a great French company established “worldwide.”
What makes us love Columbus Café & Co ? The muffins, of course, especially with a good latte. But that’s not all ! We share a love for good taste (as Auvergnats, everything revolving around the table is an art, a need, a culture), human values, and the desire to let everyone express their potential. In a word, we are proud to support Columbus Café & Co in its digital development.

The challenge
Columbus Café & Co entrusted us with the project to redesign its digital platform, which had to meet several needs:
- Implement its new visual identity
- Develop a brand site, which also had to be a support site for in-store visits
- Offer an e-shop dedicated to coffee for individuals and professionals (distribution previously handled via marketplaces)
By combining UX expertise and technical specificities, we met this challenge and successfully developed this new ecosystem.

The Strong Axes of the Solution
With a top-notch team, we designed a unique web platform to meet all the needs of Columbus Café & Co. UX design planned the user journeys for the different targets and verified the viability of this approach.
Mobile First was not a question but an obvious necessity for this project, which had to drive traffic to the coffee shops. Hence the adoption of resolutely digital trends: an app-inspired menu, a map designed for smartphone use, appealing descriptive sheets, and highlighting certain products based on the time of day.
The whole team then successfully implemented what we had imagined on paper to make it a platform that is flexible in administration and high-performing for visitors. Technically, our choice fell on the WordPress CMS for this web solution that combines lightness, elaborate content, and a simple e-shop.
