Introducing the Hôtel Radio

Art Deco motifs and a Michelin star

Erected in 1930 in Chamalières, on the heights of Clermont-Ferrand, this hotel has lost none of its charm or its refinement. Borrowing its name from one of the symbols of modernism, the Radio is faithful to its Art Deco style that it has displayed for nearly a hundred years. We love its mirrors and stained-glass windows, its ironwork and drapes, its colorful motifs and contrasts. Architecture and design are, in a way, the premises of our profession !

 

But the Radio is also a sumptuous restaurant, a renowned Michelin-starred table. After the decor, it is the plates that feast the eyes… before delighting the taste buds of the most gourmet. Another visual research that inspires us just as much. And it is a great source of pride for DBM to have been able to create the (web) showcase for this prestigious establishment, like a prelude to the sensory experience offered by the place.

The challenge

The Hôtel Radio entrusted DBM with the creation of its website as well as the addition of new functionalities in order to:

  • Reflect the establishment’s level of excellence and quality
  • Provide online booking
  • Allow the online sale of gift vouchers, cooking classes, and gourmet stays

The Strong Axes of the Solution

The Radio is a special place, imbued with a strong identity, whether in its architecture, its decoration, or the elegance of its cuisine. This obvious fact was the starting point of our reflection and at the center of the concerns of the team’s designers who chose to emphasize the quality of the visuals.

 

For the realization, the Team opted for the WordPress CMS, which provides all the answers to the client’s needs, particularly online sales thanks to the WooCommerce module. However, while the site offers booking and purchasing services, it is above all a storefront, a showcase to invite visitors to push the door of the establishment. The DBM Team therefore designed the site as a prelude to the stylistic and culinary adventure offered, an “amuse-bouche” to the unique universe of the Hôtel Radio.
