Introducing My Urban
My Urban is more than just a booking solution; it’s a web application designed as a true personal space for football and padel enthusiasts!
Built to offer a high-performance and intuitive experience, this application centralizes all Urban Soccer services in one place. Whether a regular or a newcomer, users can book a court in just a few clicks, manage payments, invite friends, or even manage their team directly from their browser or mobile device.
With a modern, responsive, and fully mobile-friendly interface, the experience is seamless across all devices. The My Urban account allows users to view invoices, match history, and personalize their profile for a tailored experience.
But that’s not all! The application also provides access to various other services: tournament registrations, padel lessons or camps, and sessions dedicated to children (Football School, camps, or birthdays).
In summary, My Urban is a comprehensive digital dashboard designed to encourage bookings, streamline interactions, and enhance user engagement, all with a focus on performance and friendliness.
Challenges: Developing the “My Urban” Web App in React.js
Urban Soccer entrusted us with redesigning their web application and creating the My Urban mobile app with two main objectives:
- Optimize the user experience by applying proven UX practices to enhance conversion.
- Deliver impeccable technical performance by integrating new dynamic features around booking, match tracking, and community interaction.
This development project allowed us to leverage our expertise in creating web applications tailored to the most demanding users.
Developing an App with React.js
The My Urban web application redesign is built on a modern technical foundation using React.js and Symfony. These technologies, mastered by our development team, ensure seamless integration with Urban Soccer’s IT ecosystem via secure APIs.
To maintain graphical consistency and scalability, we designed reusable React components. This approach enables our developers to quickly add new features as needed.
Additionally, our Symfony experts connected the tool to the client’s ERP system, allowing real-time updates of bookings, payments, and client accounts.
Creating an Optimal User Experience
User experience was our priority throughout the development of the web application. To accurately understand players’ needs and optimize each journey, we conducted several collaborative UX workshops (design sessions, surveys, user testing…) with Urban Soccer teams and end users. These workshops helped us precisely identify requests, expectations, pain points, and improvement opportunities to design features that perfectly meet user needs.
- Optimized main menu: The navigation was redesigned to be faster, more intuitive, and perfectly suited for mobile use. A simplified switch also allows users to easily toggle between the Soccer and Padel sections for a seamless and unified experience.
- Redesigned account creation process: Designed mobile-first, the registration journey was entirely optimized to offer a smooth and frictionless experience. SMS verification enhances account reliability, while a simplified process allows for more precise and relevant user qualification.
- Improved booking flow: Booking steps were reorganized for clarity, with visible calls to action, a dynamic calendar, and instant visualization of available slots, durations, and court types.
Creating Smooth and Efficient User Journeys
Favorite slots: We developed an interface allowing users to be alerted in real-time when a desired slot becomes available and to facilitate court search—two key levers to maximize bookings.
League management: We completely revamped league management to enable users to track matches and manage their team, while providing easy access to personal and team history. The online registration process now allows users to join a league, create their own team, and easily invite friends to join.
SUPERSUB: Because a missing player can quickly disrupt a match, this feature allows users to find a substitute in just a few clicks. It connects available players with incomplete teams, enhancing interactivity among members and fostering a true community dynamic around the game.
