Introducing the Associative Portal
Everything about Clermont-Ferrand associations
Clermont-Ferrand benefits from a rich and varied associative fabric: culture, sport, leisure, environment, social life, etc. The municipality wanted to highlight this dynamism through a portal offering multiple functionalities. Individuals can thus quickly identify the association(s) offering activities or events that interest them. Specific services are also made available to collectives registered on the portal, as well as the possibility for them to pool resources, equipment, and volunteer time.
A great project to nourish Clermont-Ferrand’s social and cooperative life !
The challenge
To support Clermont-Ferrand associations and their users, the City of Clermont-Ferrand wanted to provide them with a portal that:
- Features a search engine for individuals
- Offers dedicated services for associations
- Uses the Agathe web tool for connection
By relying on the power and scalability of Drupal, the DBM Team met the challenge by offering associations a fun and vibrant showcase !
The Strong Axes of the Solution
For this portal with multiple entry points and several targets, our first mission consisted of precisely defining the user journeys. Once these elements were established, the designers proposed well-thought-out ergonomics to identify all the possibilities of the platform at a glance.
The Drupal CMS seemed the most appropriate to us for creating this site, as it perfectly adapts to the custom developments necessary for the association search engine and the interface with the Agathe system that we implemented.
Another strong point of this site, at least according to our graphic designers, is its modern and dynamic design: bright colors, energetic lines, and photos that make you smile. Enough to inspire all residents of Clermont-Ferrand to get involved in their city’s associative life !
