Introducing SDE 03
Public distribution of electricity and gas throughout the territory of Allier.
Founded in 1936, the Départemental Energy Syndicate of Allier (SDE 03) brings together all the municipalities and intercommunalities of the department. A major public actor in energy issues, its missions include electricity and gas distribution, management of public lighting, production of renewable energies, and development of a network of charging stations.
SDE 03 continuously invests in infrastructure to improve networks and support local public works companies. It also assists local authorities in energy management, prioritizing eco‑responsible solutions such as bio‑based materials for heating and insulation.
We are proud to have contributed to this project, which helps make our region a model of quality of life and energy innovation.


The challenge
SDE 03 asked our agency to carry out a full redesign of its website under WordPress, with key issues:
- Revitalize SDE 03’s image by modernizing its interface
- Showcase the positioning, missions, and know‑how of the syndicate
- Optimize internal linking for smooth navigation and improve natural referencing (SEO)
- Integrate interactive solutions to strengthen user engagement
- Provide increased flexibility and facilitate site administration with a user‑friendly interface
These challenges were brilliantly met by the DBM team, combining technical innovation and usability to meet SDE 03’s needs.

Key focus areas of the solution
For the technical, graphical and ergonomic redesign of the SDE 03 site, we chose WordPress, a platform known for its flexibility and rich features. Thanks to its many options, we developed a clear, modular and scalable interface, while optimizing the user experience. In addition, advanced back‑office features provide SDE 03 with simpler management and major time savings in daily site administration.
The main goal of this redesign was to rethink the site architecture to facilitate access to key content and to highlight SDE 03’s missions and expertise. Our teams worked on optimizing internal linking to improve navigation and strengthen SEO.
Each page of the site includes links to related pages, enabling smooth navigation and encouraging users to explore further resources. The integration of SDE 03 news was maintained and enriched to maximize referencing and demonstrate the dynamism of the organization. We also integrated multimedia content to illustrate the syndicate’s actions and make the user experience more interactive and engaging.
Our team integrated an interactive map of the department, giving internet users an overview of ongoing work. This map allows intuitive and personalized navigation: users can either display all interventions or use filters to view only relevant categories (networks, public lighting, energy transition, etc.).
Each project is clickable and includes detailed content, including not only the project name and type, but also additional information that the administrator can easily manage within the back office.
Moreover, we paid particular attention to the implementation of an ergonomic and functional contact page. The contact form, designed for quick and intuitive use, redirects intelligently to the competent SDE 03 services depending on the request’s subject. This segmentation optimizes response times and improves user satisfaction by making the user journey and request management easier.
